This guide will walk you through the process of adding a new animal patient to the PetMatrix system. This process begins by finding or creating the pet’s owner profile first.
Navigating to the Add Pet Patient
- From the main navigation menu on the left, click on Registration.
- A sub-menu will expand. Click on Add Pet Patient.

Step 1: Search for the Owner
You will be taken to the “Search Owner” screen. Before adding a pet, you must associate it with an owner.
- To find an existing owner: Use the search bar at the top of the screen. You can search by the owner’s name, phone number, or email address. As you type, the system will display matching results.

- Select the correct owner: Once the correct owner appears in the “Owner Information” section, verify their details (Name, Address, Phone, Email). Now, click continue to start adding the Pet Patient information.

- If the owner is not in the system: If your search yields no results, click the Create Owner button.

This will open the “Add Owner” form, allowing you to register the new client first. Once you save the new owner, you will be returned to this workflow to add their pet.

Step 2: Adding New Pet Patient
To add a new pet patient, click on the Registration tab and select the Add Pet Patient option.

Now search and select the patient owner and click Continue.

After clicking “Add New Pet Patient,” you will be directed to the “Add Pet Patient” form. Fill in the pet’s details. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
